do you have any of those drawings, (cause these are so amazing i'm curious of how great your photoshop pictures are)

tatii: Layers are great, but you need to learns some tricks anyway. Still I can't imagine how to combine layers, because I want to go on the easy way of shading. first draw a lineart, then create the same layer with the same drawing, then color the first one and shade(color with purple or grey color) then combine. Ahh

I just make a layer with the lineart at the top, then i make another one where i put the base color, and at the end, on another layer, i make the shading.
1 lineart
2 Shading
3 Base Color
And i just dont conbine them C:

it's very nice :3, i wanna install my photoshop really bad, but i'm afraid to mess it up (can only install once and if i phail then i'm screwed :/)
